Securing Opal for the Manly Fast Ferry Service

During the last election, I promised the people of Manly that I would fast track the use of the Opal cards on the Fast Ferry.

I am proud to have delivered on this election promise and secure the adoption of the Opal fare system on our Fast Ferries, capping the cost of commuting at $50 per week. This measure has seen Manly residents who regularly commute on the Fast Ferry save up to $2000 per year.

In addition, the introduction of the Opal fare system has meant children and students are capped at $25 per week when travelling to school and university on the Fast Ferry, while Gold Senior and Pensioner concession holders enjoy a daily capped rate of $2.50.

I know that cost of living pressures are hitting families hard, and bringing Opal to the Fast Ferry is one measure to ensure that you keep more money in your pocket at the end of the week.
