Queenscliff Bridge Lowered into Place
Last month I updated residents about the new pedestrian and cycle bridge in Queenscliff – a project I am proud to have secured $3.95 million in funding for in 2023.
In exciting news, the bridge has now been lifted into place by a 750-tonne crane.
Soon to be opened to the public, it will provid a safer path across Manly Lagoon, away from the narrow footpath along busy Pittwater Road. This will be a huge boost for cyclists, runners, walkers, prams and wheelchair users, and for safety and connectivity in Manly.
New Equipment Trailer for North Steyne Boardriders Club
I was proud to secure $14,000 in funding for North Steyne Boardriders Club to replace their old equipment trailer.
The new trailer will make a practical difference for the Club, improving the way they transport and store essential equipment for competitions, including BBQs, tents, desks, speakers and other gear.
NSB are a valued part of our local beaches community, with a strong tradition of supporting surfers, volunteers and community events. It is great to be able to ensure they have the resources they need to keep doing what they do best.
Goodbye to the Damaged Telstra Bollard on the Corso

This bollard has been an eyesore and a tripping hazard for far too long. The reason it hasn’t been able to be removed is because it used to service two pay phones in the area that needed to be migrated to 4G network.
Seeing large crowds navigating around it on Anzac Day was the final straw, so I contacted Telstra who fast-tracked the migration of the pay phones. This is now complete, and Telstra has advised it is consulting with Council (as it’s located on Council land) about decommissioning and this thing will be removed as soon as possible.
Acknowledging the Northern Beaches Women’s Shelter Volunteers in NSW Parliament
In NSW Parliament last week, I delivered a Community Recognition Statement acknowledging the outstanding volunteers of the Northern Beaches Women’s Shelter.
These local residents – 40 of them in total – give up their time and energy to assist women and children experiencing domestic and family violence and homelessness in our community. They are the heart of this critical organisation. As patron of the Shelter, I cannot thank them enough.
Manly Hospice Gala Dinner

Manly can be incredibly proud to be home to Australia’s first and only dedicated adolescent and young adult hospice, providing vital care and support to young people and their families.
Join our special guest, the Governor of New South Wales, in supporting the 2026 Manly Adolescent and Young Adult Hospice (AYAH) Gala Dinner.
Each ticket is a powerful act of support, and secures: a welcome drink on arrival and a three-course dinner with sweeping views of Sydney Harbour.
Night at the Barracks Returns
It’s back and bigger than ever! The Night at The Barracks 2026 Lineup has landed! With the concert series kicking off on Friday 11 September, don’t miss out.
