Future Manly Community Survey Underway

The Future Manly Community Survey is live and underway!
It’s been great to receive so many submissions already, and I’ll continue to be out and about in the community over the coming months to hear from residents about what they want to see delivered for our area.
Through Future Manly, I want to ensure that the work I do as your local MP is guided by the issues and priorities that matter to you.
I would love you to contribute your ideas and visit FutureManly.com or click on the button below:
New Playground Delivered for Seaforth Public School

It was a pleasure to be invited to Seaforth Public School to speak and attend the ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open their new playground!
I was delighted to help secure funding from the NSW Government for this important piece of school infrastructure.
Well done to the teachers, students and the hard-working P&C for all their efforts in advocating for this great addition to the school.
Works Commence for Queenscliff Pedestrian & Cycle Bridge

I’m delighted to announce that construction of the long-awaited pedestrian cycle bridge at Queenscliff Lagoon has begun.
Currently, joggers, cyclists, school students, and residents are forced to navigate the existing narrow path adjacent to Pittwater Road.
Made possible through $3.95 million in funding secured from the former NSW Government, the new bridge will provide a safer alternative whilst improving pedestrian and cycling connections in the local area and beyond to Brookvale and Manly.
Funding Delivered for Local Sports Clubs
I’m pleased to announce that two much-loved local sporting clubs will receive important NSW Government funding.
Bareena Park Tennis Club will receive $50,000 to replace its court surfaces, while $300,000 has been allocated to the Manly Warringah Gymnastics Club to support the fit-out of its new Centre of Excellence.
This funding will help strengthen participation, improve facilities, and ensure the long-term sustainability of both clubs.
Curl Curl Boardwalk Extension Opens to the Public

The long-awaited new Curl Curl Boardwalk extension is now open to the public – and just in time for Summer!
Funded by the former NSW Coalition Government and delivered by Northern Beaches Council, the upgraded boardwalk now links South Curl Curl Beach with the iconic Fisherman’s Walk.
The new design means pedestrians no longer have to navigate the busy headland carpark allowing walkers to bypass the traffic entirely, with a ramp added for pram and wheelchair accessibility
Whether you’re running, pushing a pram or wheelchair, or just going for a stroll, this is a great win for the local community and one that I’m proud to have advocated for.
One Meal Northern Beaches Christmas Hamper Appeal is Back!

One Meal Northern Beaches’ Christmas Hamper Appeal is officially underway!
My Electorate Office in Manly is a pick-up and drop-off location so please consider popping in to collect a box, filling it with non-perishable items, and returning it to my office by 21 November.
You, your family, workplace, school or community group could make a huge difference for a family doing it tough this Christmas.

Supporting the Northern Beaches Women’s Shelter
As Patron of the Northern Beaches Women’s Shelter, it was an honour to again host the dedicated staff, volunteers and supporters of this incredible organisation at NSW Parliament for the Annual Patron’s Luncheon.
This event is a very special opportunity to express a heartfelt thanks to all those who contribute so generously to the Northern Beaches Women’s Shelter. Their help ensures the Shelter continues to provide essential services to women and children facing domestic violence in our community.
The Northern Beaches Women’s Shelter is currently facing a risk to their funding with Council due to review the agreement they currently have in place at an upcoming Council meeting on November 18. If this is something you feel strongly about, please consider writing to your local Councillors to share your concerns.
Royal Far West Spin off Challenge
This Thursday, 6 November, I’ll be taking part in Royal Far West’s inaugural Spin Off Challenge at the Manly beachfront – where local businesses and residents will ride 100 kilometres on stationary bikes to raise vital funds for children in rural and remote Australia who need access to specialist developmental and mental health services.
The event runs from 10am to 3pm, with all funds raised helping children in rural and remote areas access vital developmental and mental health services. If you can, come down to the beachfront and cheer us on as we sweat it out for a great cause!
Acknowledging Local Legends in NSW Parliament
One of the great privileges of representing Manly in NSW Parliament is getting the opportunity to acknowledge and promote the incredible individuals and organisations doing great things in our community. If you know anyone or any business you think is deserving of acknowledgment, please reach out to me or my office!
