Surf Clubs Encouraged to Apply for Facility Upgrades

Surf Life Saving Clubs across the Manly Electorate are being encouraged to apply for their share of $5.4 million in funding to upgrade, restore or construct club facilities.

Member for Manly, James Griffin MP, said applications are now open for the Surf Club Facility Program, with grants of up to $1 million available.

“With a hot Spring and Summer ahead, it’s vital our Surf Life Saving Clubs are ready to respond to the influx of beachgoers,” Mr Griffin said.

“This program ensures clubs can access the facilities they need – modern, accessible and designed to meet the demands of today’s volunteer lifesavers.”

“Our surf lifesavers give their time and energy to protect the community, and this funding is a practical way to support their efforts. I encourage all clubs in the Manly Electorate to take up this opportunity.”

The Surf Club Facility Program offers funding across three categories:

  • Category 1 – facility improvements under $100,000
  • Category 2 – projects up to $500,000
  • Category 3 – large construction projects above $500,000

Applications close on 20 October 2025 for Category 1, and on 10 November 2025 for Categories 2 and 3.
