Member for Manly, James Griffin MP, has announced that Expressions of Interest (EOIs) are now open for grant funding under the 2026 Community Building Partnership (CBP) Program.
Each year, the CBP Program provides funding to community organisations and councils to strengthen the wellbeing of NSW communities through small-scale local infrastructure projects.
This year, the Manly electorate has secured $450,000 to be distributed among eligible community groups and organisations, with individual projects eligible for a minimum of $10,000 and up to a maximum of $100,000 in funding.
Mr Griffin is encouraging local community groups, clubs, P&Cs and other not-for-profit organisations to consider lodging an EOI before the deadline of 5:00pm on 8 May 2026, to support projects delivering social, environmental and recreational benefits to the Manly community.
Grants are available across three categories:
Capital Works: Refurbishments, new infrastructure, construction, and fixed installations
Equipment: Freestanding equipment and vehicles that do not require fixed installation and/or registration
Vehicles: Purchase or modification of on and off-road vehicles and vessels which require registration
Projects should also address the funding priorities for the Manly Electorate, which can be found here Manly – CBP 2026 – Community Building Partnership, and include:
- Enhancing arts and entertainment opportunities to strengthen social connections
- Supporting infrastructure to help manage the impact of millions of visitors each year
- Improving facilities that engage young people and support local schools and sporting communities
- Building the capability of social service and volunteer organisations
- Protecting and leveraging Manly’s natural environment
Please note the 2026 CBP Program will operate under a new two-stage application process, with submission of an EOI followed by an invitation for shortlisted applicants to submit a detailed application.
Eligible organisations can submit up to two EOIs per electorate and are encouraged to review the eligibility criteria before applying.
